Millions head to the polls to vote in UK general election
Keir Starmer is on course to be new UK prime minister with predicted Labour majority of 170
Polling stations in 650 constituencies across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland opened at 07:00 GMT and will close at 22:00 GMT.
Voters are choosing 650 MPs to sit in the House of Commons for the next five years.
The result of the election will determine who will be the next prime minister of the UK.
The current Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is seeking to win a second term in office.
The main opposition party, Labour, is led by Keir Starmer.
Other parties contesting the election include the Scottish National Party, the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party and the Brexit Party.
